Omar's last chance to be a “Heroe”
Veteran Omar “Heroe” Tienda Bahena (25-5, 18KO) is determined to shine in a lightweight bout against Keyshawn Davis (5-0, 4KO), which is the co-feature in the WBC super-featherweight defence of Shakur Stevenson against Robson Conceicao, an Olympic Gold Medallist, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on September 23rd.
Hometown hero Keyshawn won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olmpics in 2020. He has knocked out four of his five victims, earning the moniker, 'The Businessman'.
While Omar draws on his considerable experience of 30 bouts under his belt, aiming to become the fly in the ointment. Since his 2017 decision loss to Dennis Galarza, Omar has won seven fights in a row, all by KO! He is the reigning WBC FECOMBOX Lightweight champion.
The Mexican's sole stoppage loss was way back in 2013 to Jesus Angulo Leija. He`s currently in the best shape of his life. From Nuevo Leon, he now trains in Tijuana, guided by multi world champion Erik Morales.
