Mark McKeown and Brad Daws ready for war
Mark McKeown and Brad Daws are both promising career-defining wins as the two unbeaten stars prepare to go head to head on tonight's massive #MTKFightNight.
26-year-old 'Sparky' McKeown (3-0, 1KO) and 24-year-old Daws (6-0, 2 KOs) square off on this evening's huge event, featuring eight fights in total, which includes a trio of title fights, live in the US on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, and worldwide on IFL TV.
It looks set to be a fantastic clash of two undefeated fighters, and both men are confident of getting their hand raised in the 50-50 showdown.
Scotsman McKeown said: "I know this fight is going to be an explosive one, it will be great for the fans. It's a brilliant chance for me.
"It is exactly what I wanted for me at this stage in my career, so I'm going out there to make a statement against Brad Daws."
Nottingham's Daws added: "This is what I got into boxing for. Stepping in and challenging yourself in a fight like this against Mark McKeown.
"I think there are too many lads out there that are scared to take a risk, so I respect Mark for taking this fight and it shows what we are both about."
Two from three of Daws' last wins came inside the distance, and McKeown last ight ended early, so both featherweights are going to be looking to continue their devastating forms.
Elsewhere on tonight's huge card, Sean McComb takes on Gavin Gwynne for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title, Darren Tetley and Samuel Antwi collide for the vacant English welterweight title, DP Carr defends his Southern Area super-featherweight title against Dean Dodge, Paddy Donovan meets Siar Ozgul, Pierce O’Leary fights Irvin Magno, Elliot Whale goes up against Jamie Stewart and Mohammed Sameer is back in action.
