Jake Paul is the underdog for confirmed Tommy Fury fight
Boxer and former Love Islander the marginal 10/11 favourite for bout with social media sensation
Betting giants William Hill make Tommy Fury the marginal 10/11 favourite for his bout with Jake Paul, after it was confirmed on social media that a contract has been signed to fight on 6th August at Madison Square Garden.
Paul is even-money to extend his unbeaten record to 6-0, and 9/4 to make it five KO wins from six bouts, while Fury, cousin of ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson, is 2/1 for a stoppage success.
With the odds indicating this will be a tight fight, the draw is a single-figure price at 9/1.
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny, said: “We finally have confirmation from Tommy Fury that the fight with Jake Paul will go ahead on 6th August, and we’re finding it very hard to split them!
“We think Fury just has the edge thanks to his lifelong boxing experience and make him the 10/11 favourite, but Paul has proved he’s no gimmick and is just evens to win the fight. Usually, draws in boxing are double-figure prices, but this one could be really tight and it’s 9/1 for the judges to be unable to split them on the night.”
