Serdar Avci wins WBC Silver International title
On October 22, undefeated Turkish fighter Serdar Avci was crowned the new WBC Silver International champion in the cruiserweight division, after winning by technical knockout in the second round against Nigerian Tony Salam, who injured his hand and was unable to continue.
The new champ received the precious belt from the hands of former Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, who was a special guest at the card and who congratulated both contenders.
An event that generated great interest among all fans and where Serdar improved his record to 14 wins, 13 of them by KO.
The card was sanctioned by the new Turkish Professional Boxing Commission, which has been extremely active since in recent months it has held two seminars for Judges and Referees taught by experienced ring officials and who, from this card and the seminars, began to officiate events sanctioned by the newly established Turkish Commission.
