Arijan Goricki vs Valerii Romanenia – someone's '0' has got to go!
Croatian Arijan Goricki (8-0-1, 4KOs) will face fellow unbeaten boxer Valerii Romanenia (2-0, 1KO) in his 10 th contest in Seebuhne Elbauenpark, Magdeburg, Germany. on Saturday, July 17.
The featherweight fight will be broadcast on Germany MDR TV and was supposed reduced from eight to six-rounds due to the tight TV scheduling.
23-year-old Goricki commented on his upcoming opponent, "I know that he is a southpaw and that he has a long, extensive amateur career, and as a professional he has two fights and two wins."
'Archie' Goricki's last bout was in April in Baden-Baden, Germany, where the Croatian recorded his third consecutive KO win, stopping Ilia Beruashvili in the sixth round of a scheduled eight. His four knockouts have all come in his last five contests – three of those in the second round.
The contest takes place on an SES boxing event, with IBF Youth light-heavyweight champion Tom Dzemski (17-0, 10KOs) headlining against Michael Eifert (7-1, 2KOs) in a 10-round championship bout.
Highly-rated heavyweight Peter Kadiru (10-5 KOs) appears on the undercard. 24-year-old Kadiru is the reigning German heavyweight champion, aged 24.
