Rozicki and Peralta ready to clash for the WBC International title
Undefeated Argentine Yamil Peralta (13-0, 6 KOs) will face Canadian knockout artist Ryan Rozicki (14-1, 14 KOs) in dispute for the World Boxing Council International cruiserweight title on Saturday, April 7, at the Center 200 Stadium in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Peralta, who competed in the London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics before turning pro, is the current No.10 in the WBC cruiserweight world ranking. He comes to this fight after dominating Mariano Gudiño by decision, in defence of his WBC Latino title.
Against him will be knockout artist Rozicki, ranked No.9, who after having disputed the Bridger WBC world title and losing in a great fight against Colombian Oscar Rivas, comes to this bout after knocking out Mexican Germán García in the second round.
As a professional, Peralta has defeated every rival in the professional field. Rozicki, whose three years younger, will be fighting in his home city. His 14 victories have been by knockout, and 13 of them within the first three rounds – the one other in the sixth. He defeated his compatriot Abokan Bokpe, the American Shawn Miller, the Czech Vladimir Reznicek, and after relinquishing his unbeaten record at the hands of Rivas, he has just scored an impressive knockout.
