Undefeated Scottish welterweight Lee Redpath cruised to his second victory in the pro ranks at Prospect Boxing’s first show of the year at the Fauldhouse Miners Welfare in West Lothian on February 27th.
The 32-year-old southpaw defeated Paul O'Brien 0-3(1)-0 in front of his home crowd to double his win tally to 2-0-0 and managed to go one better than his debut win over Kristian Laight 9-192(5)-7 in September last year by knocking his opponent to the canvas in the third round resulting in a 60-53 points score for the victor from Edinburgh.
Redpath commented the next day, "I would just like to thank everyone for their support and kind messages. Last night was great and the atmosphere was electric. My manager is saying he could possibly get me back out in April and then May or June could be looking at venues in Edinburgh. I want to keep busy inside the ring and out, and hopefully pick up the wins on the way."
Headlining fight saw local favourite Sean Watson 4(2)-1-1 win on points over Sussex 24-year-old boxer Jonathan Fry 1(1)-12-1 in an eight three minute rounds contest at super-featherweight.
Debutant Martin Taylor kicked off his pro career with a win over opponent Alec Bazza 0-6(2)-1 in a six two-minute rounds light-welterweight contest.
