Sohail Ahmad wants to move up in levels in 2015
After an impressive points win over Bulgarian, Kristian Dochev at London’s York Hall on October 11, unbeaten light welterweight, Sohail Ahmad is ready to take his career to the next level.
Following that fifth straight win, Ahmad received a call from Vitimise with an interest to sponsoring the six foot tall Londoner, originally from Afghanistan. The vitamins supplier agreed to pledge a monthly sponsorship fund to enable the rising star to concentrate solely on his boxing career.
The 26-year-old from Earls Court, managed by Steve Goodwin and trained by Rod Julian said, “It's a good feeling to get paid for something that you love doing. Now I can spend more time training with my trainer.”
Currently ranked in the top 50 light welterweights in the UK and steadily climbing upwards, Ahmad already has the backing of another sponsor in Universal Alliance Group. This crucial support combined with the newest sponsor has given Ahmad the financial injection required to take his career forward with a view to begin challenging for titles in 2015.
Ahmad added, “I'm only just starting as a pro and still have a lot to learn and I’m still understanding the game. But I have strong and loyal people around me now and with my manager, Steve Goodwin and trainer, Rod Julian and, of course, my sponsors, Vitimise and Universal Alliance Group it's all possible and we will get to the top as a team, inshallah.”
Sohail would like to personally thank his sponsors, Mansour Ahmadzai of Universal Alliance Group and Alex Sustov of Vitimise and PR Manager, Tim Rickson
