Unbeaten featherweight Isaac Lowe squaring off against Mexico's Alberto Guevara
Lowe battles with Guevara on the Wilder-Fury undercard in Vegas on February 22
Isaac Lowe (19-0-3, 6 KOs), Tyson Fury's close friend and training partner, is a former Commonwealth featherweight champion who has won five in a row since a 2018 draw against Ryan Walsh for the British featherweight title.
A fan-friendly pressure fighter, the 'Westgate Warrior' was victorious on the undercards of Fury's last two bouts and hopes to move closer to a world title shot with another win.
Lowe, the current WBC International featherweight champion, faces Mexican Alberto Guevara (27-5, 12 KOs), a native of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, who is a two-time bantamweight world title challenger who pushed then-champion Leo Santa Cruz the distance in December 2012.
Mexico's 'Metro' fought Shakur Stevenson last July for the WBA NABO featherweight title on short notice and gave a valiant effort before being stopped in the third round. 'Fearless' Stevenson went on to the win the WBO world featherweight title in his next bout.
The 26-year-old Brit is enjoying being back at where he considers to be his Stateside home, “It’s been great being back in Las Vegas. It’s like my second home now. This will be my third fight in a row here and I love the place.
“I started out as a kid boxing around Lancashire, so to end up spending a lot of time fighting in Vegas is a dream come true.
“It’s another great chance to fight on a massive stage at the MGM Grand, and now it’s time to show everyone I’m a world level fighter.
“Training has been going well with Sugar Hill and the rest of the team. He’s been concentrating more with Tyson, so I’ve been working mainly with Jorge Capetillo, and it’s going really well.
“We’ve been working on tightening up a few things that I’ve slacked over the last couple of fights, and with just over two weeks to go now I’m feeling great.
“We’ve been in Vegas for around five weeks, and I’m feeling super fit and strong. My weight is spot on and I’m ready to put a show on.”
With just one KO in the past four years, Lancahire's Lowe has been forced to go the distance eight times in his previous nine fights. The Brit is currently ranked in the top 10 with the World Boxing Council and a successful defence could edge him closer to the WBC titleholder Gary Russell Jr.
