Ultimate Boxxer 3 draw – favourites Kieron Conway and Tey Lynn-Jones on collision course
Unbeaten Conway (10-0) and former Southern Area middleweight champion Lynn-Jones (11-1) are seen as two of the favourites for the competition at the Indigo at The O2 in London on May 10, and they have found themselves on a collision course for a potential semi-final meeting.
Conway faces Kaan Hawes (5-0-1) in the quarter-final, while Lynn-Jones goes up against Derrick Osaze (6-0). If Conway and Lynn-Jones are both victorious, they will then clash in the semi-final for a chance to reach the final.
The other side of the draw sees Sean Phillips (5-0-1) fight Josh Groombridge (7-1) in quarter final three, while Joe Hurn (10-0-1) faces Grant Dennis (12-1) in quarter-final four.
Ultimate Boxxer founder Ben Shalom said: “I’m stumped at picking a winner for any of the fights in the quarter-finals, it’s that close.
“That’s what we want with Ultimate Boxxer, fights that are evenly balanced and when anything can happen in a split second that will add to the drama and suspense.
“In UB I and II combined we’ve had 27 knockdowns, that’s staggering across two shows and just shows that when fighters get in the ring for Ultimate Boxxer they go all out to win. I cannot wait to see who will eventually come out on top on May 10.”
