Fury 2/7 to beat Joshua if fight goes ahead
Gypsy King fancied to continue unbeaten streak
With runours raging back and forth on social media of a potential all-British battle between behemoths Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, William Hill have released their early betting odds, which displays a clear favourite and the underdog.
A fight of this magnitude, with opposing promoters and TV deals, can often be difficult to arrange, but the WBC heavyweight king, Fury, believes otherwise, “This easy fight to make, normal champion to challenger priveleges, and I'm 100% serious.”
Watford warrior Joshua replied,“Yea calm. I don't do online discussions just for the clout, so if your'e really serious aboit it, shout 258MGT. I'll be ready in December.”
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny, said: “It’s a fight that has been murmured about for quite some time now and with Oleksandr Usyk seemingly not wanting to box again this year, might we finally be about to see Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury take each other on?
“Joshua is very much on a recovery mission after consecutive defeats to Usyk and we feel he’d struggle against the Gypsy King, with Fury the strong 2/7 favourite while AJ is priced at 5/2.”

BBN Editor, Tim Rickson, added his thoughts, “I think it's quite natural for Fury to emerge as the early favourite, even though not too long ago, the odds would have been reversed completely. Joshua has shown many limitations in his trio of losses. Firstly, his chin and recovery ability was questioned in the Andy Ruiz loss; then his boxing ability and tactics were not up to scratch in the first Usyk fight; and in the rematch he was again outboxed and out-championed by Usyk, who made the championship rounds really count as he stepped up the pace while Joshua faded.
“Fury has a whole array of boxing skills, while Joshua can't really match him in talent. However, AJ is still powerful and explosive, and is still improving at the age of 32. With the right trainer, he could come back stronger against Fury, but back to back defeats must be difficult to bounce back from, and that could possibly affect his mindset in his next fight.
“Personally, I would advise AJ to fight someone like Otto Wallin next, and attempt to do a more convincing job on him than Fury managed to in their fight, and it could even the odds up a bit more for their battle.”
