Tyson Fury is here to stay
Heavyweight king Tyson Fury has no desire to slow down – after revealing he plans to continue boxing until the age of 40.
Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) was last in action in February, when he knocked out Deontay Wilder in seven rounds at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to win the WBC heavyweight title.
That win saw Fury extend his unbeaten record to 30-0-1 with 21 knockouts, along with cementing himself as the best heavyweight on the planet, and the 31-year-old has made his future intentions perfectly clear.
Fury told ESPN:“I’m going to fight on until I’m 40 years old. I’ve been thinking about it, and there isn’t much else to do anyways. So yeah, I may as well keep fighting.
“I don’t see anyone out there that can challenge me anyway. I just flattened the best one out there, the toughest opponent out there is Deontay Wilder, and we all saw what happened to him the last time out.”
Along with the incredible triumph over Wilder, Fury has recorded a number of fantastic wins in his career, including victories over Wladimir Klitschko, Derek Chisora, Christian Hammer, Otto Wallin and Tom Schwarz.
Fury and Wilder are expected to clash for a third time in October this year, providing travel restrictions are lifted.
