Tyson Fury has accepted the offer of a boxing match with UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic
Lineal heavyweight king Fury was once again the talk of the combat sports world over the weekend after footage emerged showing him in MMA training with UFC superstar and MTK Global team-mate Darren Till.
The release of the video led to a host of invitations to the Octagon from mixed martial arts stars; but reigning UFC heavyweight champion Miocic instead challenged ‘The Gypsy King’ to a boxing bout.
Fury has swiftly responded, asserting that once he has dealt with Deontay Wilder in a highly-anticipated world title rematch, he will gladly switch his focus to Miocic.
In an exclusive interview, Fury told mtkglobal.com: “Stipe says he wants to box me, that would be a good fight for sure. After I get Wilder out of the way I’ll fight Stipe in a boxing match if he wants it. It would be a big crossover fight like Mayweather and McGregor.
“I’m open to that fight so he should come and see me. It would be the same outcome for any of them, they’ll all get smashed.
“It was exciting training with Darren Till and we get on like a house on fire, he put me through a hard training session and it was really good.”
Fury is currently taking part in a book tour ahead of the release of his autobiography ‘Behind The Mask,’ which is available from November 14.
