Third time lucky – Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul grudge match confirmed
Professional Boxer Tommy Fury and YouTube Star Jake Paul have agreed to high profile fight after two years of negotiations.
Tommy Fury: “The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a YouTuber”
There has been a lot of talk about a fight between Tommy Fury, age 23, and YouTuber Jake Paul, age 25, but the talk is over as the pair have agreed to step into the ring on Sunday 26th February 2023, for what will be Tommy’s only fight against an influencer.
“Jake Paul’s boxing career ends on February 26th and I can finally move on with mine. Every time I go out right now, everybody asks me about the Jake Paul fight. After this fight is done, everybody will be asking me how it felt to knock Jake Paul out. The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a YouTuber.
I am a professional boxer, I have had 8 undefeated bouts, soon to be 9! Jake Paul will regret ever thinking he could take me on. I will put him in his place, the canvas!” Says Tommy.
The young boxer turned pro in 2018 with his debut pro fight against Jevgenijs Andrejevs, which he won, he has since gone on to win 7 more professional fights, 4 with KO’s. In preparation for the highly anticipated fight Tommy is undergoing an intense training regime with his father, John Fury, putting him through his paces and sparring sessions with his brother, Tyson Fury.
“The way I see this fight, it’s as though I’m cruising down route 66 on my way to fighting for titles and belts and I need to stop off for a bit of fuel, get the job done and then we’re back on the road. It won’t be a long fight. I have been training hard and have the best team around me, Jake Paul makes a lot of noise outside the ring but the only sound we are going to hear in the ring is him hitting the canvas.”
Tommy’s manager, CEO of Alpha Talent Group, Jake Lee said “This has been two years in the making and I’m so glad that we’ve finally got here. Tommy has been working incredibly hard in training and I’m excited to see all that hard work pay off. I’m looking forward to seeing the fight come to fruition, we have every faith that Tommy is going to make it 9-0 and add to his KO tally in emphatic style!”
