Patricia Berghult Svensson was born May 2nd, 1994, in Malmo, which is the third largest city in Sweden.
Patricia started boxing young at just 10 years old, fighting against the boys in her gym until she was 15.
The talented amateur was on the national team for six years, competing all over the world in European and World championships.
Her professional debut took place on December 18, 2015, at the Rosvalla Arena, Nyköping, scoring a four-round unanimous decision victory over Sara Marjanovic, who was unbeaten in one fight at the time.
UK fight fans will already be familiar with Berghult for defeating Scotland's Hannah Rankin for her IBO World super-welterweight title in November 2019 in Malta. She started fast with a first-round knockdown, eventually winning via unanimous decision, and scooped up the WBC Interim belt in the process.
In her last fight, in November 2021, she won the vacant WBC World super-welterweight title with a unanimous decision verdict over Swiss boxer, Olivia Belkacem.
The 28-year-old has fought in five different countries: Sweden; Denmark; Albania; Malta; and now England.
She often spars with Femke Hermans, who is only the second Belgian female world champion; former unified super-middleweight champion Elin Cederroos; Danish national amateur Ditte Frostholm; as well as World Muay Thai champ Angela Mamic.
She has spent time training with heavyweight Otto Wallin before.
In the amateurs, she scalped two-weight world champ, Dina Thorslund; world title contender, Firuza Sharipova; and Olympic champion Lauren Price.
Notable amateur defeats include losses to Chantelle Cameron, Estelle Yoka Mosseley and Katie Taylor.
BoxRec list WBC beltholder Berghult as the 3rd best super-welterweight in the world behind #1 Tasha Jonas (WBO champ) and #2 Marie Eve Dicaire, who is the IBF champion. The 154lbs division's other world champion is WBA and IBO titlist Hannah Rankin.
She is trained by her father Joakim Berghult and former boxer Kamran Kabinejad. Her Manager and Adviser is Artan Verbica and her promotional contract is with Fightlife Promotion.
She said of her start in pro boxing: "At first we didn’t have a team, it was me and my father with the help from sponsors making it through. In 2018 we signed with Kamran Kabinejad and I became a part of Fightlife Promotion, who have been my team ever seen."
Her coach Kamran Kabinejad was a two-time Swedish amateur champion who won 120 from 139 bouts. The promoter/manager/trainer also won all five of his professional bouts during his career, four by knockout.
She has a partner called Max Svennson and have been together for four years.
She has a younger brother called Hampus Berghult, who is an amateur boxer getting ready to make his pro debut soon. It's a real family affair with brother and sister training together under the guidance of their father, and even mum comes to training too.
The redhead is heavily tattooed on her arms. One tattoo is a quote that reads: "Without struggle there is no success". She also has a tattoo of a four-leaf clover the her left side of her body.
Roberto Duran is one of her all-time favourite fighters. She also counts Erik Skoglund as an inspiration and friend.
A dog lover, she is the owner of a rottweiler.
She is a big fan of tennis and often plays tennis matches with her dad.

When she isn't watching boxing or UFC, Patricia likes to watch a lot of movies to relax.
