Champion Tey Lynn-Jones defends Southern Area middleweight title against unbeaten challenger Linus Udofia in December
Udofia says he will retire Jones and it is an easy nights work
Ryan Smith in association with Goodwin Boxing have announced that Linus Udofia (10-0) will challenge Tey-Lynn Jones (11-1) for the Southern Area middleweight title on his “STRIKE” card to take place on December 1 at York Hall, with the eagerly-awaited trilogy decider between Miles Shinkwin and old rival Joel McIntyre headlining.
There has been bad blood brewing with these two warriors during the last few months. Jones, 24, took to Instagram after Linus, 25, secured his latest win on Saturday night criticising the quality of his opponents.
Jones has been accusing Udofia of avoiding him which according to the Udofia team is total nonsense, “Jones talks a lot of bull." He snapped. "He does not know what he is saying or what is going on. His big mouth has just got him into a heap of trouble.”
He continued, “It is going to be easy work. Mark my words, Jones will never get in a ring again after this fight and he will not want to. This fight is going to be so easy. I will be his Master and he will be my servant. He will be asking the ref to save him.”
This fight is part of a massive card with the Joel McIntyre v Miles Shinkwin English Title fight already headlining, The Light Heavyweight Fight Cup Semi Final between Darrel Church and Jordan Joseph supporting with one or two more title fights to be added.
