Terri Harper says she has unfinished business with Natasha Jonas
WBC and IBO super-featherweight champion Terri Harper is eager for a second domestic grudge match with Natasha Jonas.
Harper and Jonas produced one of 2020’s fights of the year at Fight Camp 1 and the score still needs to be settled after the contest was ruled a draw by the judges.
“I want that rematch, for me there’s still unanswered questions,” Harper told DAZN in an exclusive interview.
“I believe I’m a completely different fighter compared to what I was back then.
“We made many changes in the camp and the team, I know that was a bad night in the office with plenty of mistakes, but there’s no excuse.
“I learnt a lot from that fight, and it pushed me onto the next level, so I welcome a rematch with Jonas.”
Harper also revealed to DAZN that she would have considered fighting Jonas on the Galahad vs. Martinez card in Sheffield on Saturday night before having to settle with Alycia Baumgardner.
“There’s plenty of people out there saying I’m ducking her, that’s not the case, if I was told I had to fight Jonas on November 13th I’d fight her,” Harper stated.
“We’re in the boxing game, you can’t be turning down fights, you can’t be picking and choosing opponents. Fans want to see it, I want it myself, Tash wants it.
“For me there’s other goals to chase. I want to become undisputed at super-feather.”
