Sean McComb has worked hard in the gym to make improvements for next fight
Undefeated Sean McComb (8-0, 4 KOs) has been working hard to improve again for his step up against Emiliano Dominguez Rodriguez on October 11.
‘The Public Nuisance’ steps up in grade on the #MTKFightNight – live on ESPN+ in the U.S in association with Top Rank and on iFL TV worldwide – against the tough Argentinian (23-5, 9 KOs).
Having outclassed Frenchman Renald Garrido on the huge stage of Féile an Phobail last time out, McComb is ready to rise to another graduation in level in Belfast’s Ulster Hall.
McComb said: “I have a good boxing brain and I know I’m more than ready. If it was a step too far, I wouldn’t be afraid to say it’s a step too far. I believe the management is doing a brilliant job.
“We made a few mistakes against Garrido. Silly errors. I’m glad I did because it gives me things to work on back in camp. I stood and fought with him for too long and that’s something I need to work on.
“I also threw five or six punches when I could’ve thrown one or two and moving off. When you go up the levels, picking the selections right and not standing for too long is important.
“It’s in the past now and it’s done. It’s time to put it behind me and heading back to Ulster Hall. It’s all about pushing forward on my career.”
McComb stars on a bill that also includes a crucial high-class flyweight collision between Jay Harris and local hero Paddy Barnes, IBF European king Marco McCullough defending his crown against Viorel Simion, hotly-anticipated debuts for Paddy Donovan and Pierce O’Leary and much more.
