Fundora Siblings Ready to Fight
Walking tall in the run up to Saturday fight night at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, where he will face New Mexico’s Brian ‘Bala’ Mendoza (21-2, 15KO), Sebastián ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora (20-0-1, 13KO) said he’d soon fancy swapping punches with Argentine Brian Castaño and Australian Tim Tszyu.
Smiling Sebastián and his younger sister Gabriela Fundora were able to beam into the traditional Coffee Tuesday, a meeting that the World Boxing Council (WBC) convenes for the media every week.
Fundora vs Mendoza
Headlining the card in California, Sebastián Alexander Fundora, will defend for the second time the WBC interim world title of 154 pounds (69,853 kg), against Brian ‘La Bala’ Mendoza, a boxer from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who will be a good test.
When asked about a possible confrontation with the boxers Brian Castaño and Tim Tszyu, Sebastián Fundora replied he’s in boxing’s elite in the 154-pound division, (69,853 kg), and to remain in it he must face the best.
With a mark of 20 wins, 13 KOs, with one draw, the tall boxer is preparing to return to defend the interim title, which he conquered by beating his compatriot Erickson Lubin in nine episodes, on April 9 of the year past in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fundora vs Micheo
21-year-old Gabriela ‘Sweet Poison’ Fundora (10-0, 4KO), the WBC World Youth Flyweight Champion, is preparing to face the Guatemalan María ‘La Imparable’ Micheo (11-2, 6KO), in a match scheduled for eight rounds at a weight of 110 pounds.
“I will be facing a tough and complicated rival, without a doubt, a real puzzle that I am forced to solve,” she replied.
Sebastián and Gabriela agreed that they both had an excellent preparation in the mountains of California, through hard work, which will come to guarantee resounding victories, this Saturday in Carson, California.
