Shane Fury on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua
Betfred’s Lightweight Boxing Show have been speaking toTyson’s brother Shane Fury regarding when Tyson Fury should retire, the big fight against AJ that everyone wants to see, and whether Tyson and close friend Joseph Parker will ever face off in the ring. The younger sibling revealed he wants his older brother and idol to have two more fights to “complete the game.”
Here's what Shane had to say below:
Shane Fury on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua:
“We’ve always backed Tyson and we’re very confident he’ll beat Anthony Joshua. Not that he’s a bad fighter, but we’re confident Tyson can beat anyone. People will say that Tyson’s the greatest heavyweight in history once he’s fought AJ. Joshua is made to measure for Tyson and he will destroy him. It will be a masterclass and a clinical performance.”
Shane Fury on when Tyson Fury will retire:
“I’d like him to fight Joshua, fight Oleksandr Usyk and then see you later because he’s completed the game. Tyson will beat Usyk but there will have to be a rematch because in big fights there’s always rematches. There’s too much money at stake.”
Shane Fury on Joseph Parker vs Joe Joyce:
“He’s got a solid as a rock mindset and he’s been taught by the best. If he can’t win Saturday night then he’s not good enough, but we firmly believe he can do it and he will do it on Saturday night. Nobody’s taking Joe Joyce lightly because he’s a top, top, top boxer.”
Shane Fury on whether Tyson Fury and Joseph Parker will ever fight:
“Tyson will win the unification fight and give it to Joseph Parker because there’s no way those two are going to fight. For Tyson, Parker’s like a close cousin.”
