Serhii “Flaco” Bohachuk stops Patrick Allotey
Ukrainian world ranked Serhii “Flaco” Bohachuk (23-1, 23KO) knocked out former world title challenger Patrick Allotey (42-5, 32KO) of Ghana in the first round at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California.
A blasting right hand from 28-year-old Bohachuk dropped Allotey, who sank to the canvas. The African barely beat the count but was saved by referee Jack Reiss.
Bohachuk retained his Continental Americas title endorsed by the World Boxing Council.
With this victory, Bohachuk raised his record to 23-1, with 23 knockouts, while Allotey dropped to 42-5, 32 knockouts.
