Sarah Borman vs Yadira Bustillos for the WBC Interim straw crown
Former IBO World minimumweight champion Sarah "Babyface" Bormann (15-0, 7KO) will have the chance of a lifetime this May 13 when she contests the WBC Interim strawweight title.
The 33-year-old German will square off with top ranked Yadira Bustillos (7-0), from Las Vegas. The undefeated American has maintained her status as a bright prospect in women’s boxing.
Unlike Bormann, Bustillos doesn’t have as much experience as a professional boxer, but at 22 she has the freshness of youth on her side. However, Bormann, says she is more than ready to prove her worth.
For her part, the Mexican American Yadira Bustillos commented: “I feel very excited and ready as I am well prepared to give a war to Sarah Borman who like me is undefeated just with a little more experience. I know she’s very strong, but I’m ready.”
