Ryan Rozicki and Olandewaju Durodola meet in WBC eliminatory
On December 2, Ryan Rozicki (19-1, 18KO) will face Nigerian Olandewaju Durodola (43-9, 40KO) in a WBC cruiserweight eliminator bout on December 2 at the Emera Center in North Sydney, Canada.
The fight is a battle for the mandatory challenger spot to face current champion Noel Gervor Mikaelian. This will be a tough and hard-hitting fight, as both fighters are known for their knockout power.
Canadian Rozicki assures that he is prepared for an outstanding performance since it has been a dizzying year for him, accumulating important victories.
Durodola’s year reflects Rozicki’s intensity, marking his fifth fight in 12 months, all ending in knockouts.
Rozicki, claims to be a modern day Dempsey, while Durodola, known as “God’s Power”, has a formidable record, with 40 knockouts from 43 victories, and having previously held the WBC silver title.
The cruiserweight division is red-hot right now, especially with the announcements of the 2023 WBC Convention. In addition to the eliminator between Rozicki and Durodola, a tournament for the second mandatory challenger is planned to keep the division simmering.
