Sultan Zaurbek claimed the WBO European super-featherweight title with a win over Ronnie Clark
Sultan Zaurbek won the WBO European super-featherweight title as he defeated Ronnie Clark in the main event of an action-packed #MTKFightNight in Kazakhstan on Saturday.
The event takes place the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty, and was broadcast live on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank in the US, on SportTimeKZ in Kazakhstan, and on IFL TV for the rest of the world.
Zaurbek (11-0, 7 KOs) was dominant throughout all 10 rounds against Clark (21-5-2, 10 KOs), with the judges scoring it 100-90, 100-90 and 99-91 to earn the Kazakh sensation the win.
It means that Zaurbek has added another belt to his collection, and has extended his undefeated record to 11-0 in the process.
Elsewhere on the card, Tursynbay Kulakhmet continued the perfect start to his professional career, claiming a tenth round stoppage victory over Aleksei Evchenko.
Kulakhmet (4-0, 3 KOs) displayed his superb boxing skills throughout the fight, before finally getting to his opponent in the tenth and final round, becoming just the second man to stop Evchenko in 36 professional fights.
There was a shock third round knockout win for Isa Chaniev over Nurtas Azhbenov, while Ivan Dychko, Talghat Shayken, and Dauren Yelussionov all picked up stoppage wins on the main card too.
