The sad news broke on Saturday, November 21, of the untimely passing of boxing promoter and manager Greg Steene.
Priority Boxing tweeted today: "Mo Prior and everyone at Priority Boxing is sad to hear of the passing of friend and partner of the company Greg Steene. condolences to his wife Jackie and to his sons at this time. Greg was a boxing man through and through and will be sorely missed. RIP."

Frank Warren took to Twitter to write these words in tribute: "All at Queensberry are very sad to hear news of the passing of legendary boxing Manager and Matchmaker Greg Steene. Our thoughts are with Greg's family at this time. RIP."
Fellow London promoter Mickey Helliet also tweeted, "Very sorry to hear that my good friend Greg Steene has passed away. My thoughts are with his family. I'll miss him a lot."
Journalist Ron Lewis stated, "Sad to hear the death of Greg Steene who was manager to Dennis Andries on his rise to being world champion. He used to promote regular shows at the Porchester Hall and Lyceum ( where the Lion King has been for years)."
