Predictions for Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora 2 from key figures in boxing
Kofi Donker
Unbeaten lightweight
“That first fight was one of the best British heavyweight contests ever. It was about two years ago to the day, I remember banging on about that fight for a while after it happened. I actually thought that Chisora won by a round or two.
Now the momentum has changed, 'Del Boy' is coming off a good win over Carlos Takam win and has his new training routines with David Haye and his new name of 'War'. But Whyte is now an established heavyweight with his win over Joseph Parker and now on the brink of world level so I'd favour Whyte to win, but I wouldn’t put money on it as it will be too close to call!”
Jamie Speight
Three-time Southern Area champion
"I think Dillian White vs Derek Chisora is a great battle! The first one was a classic and I see a very similar affair this time around, something is telling me the result could be different this time though. I like Dillian he’s a decent guy and is the more superior with regards to technical boxing ability, his problem is he is easily dragged into a dog fight and away from his set out game plan, he fights very much with his heart and not with his head. I believe that David Haye will add something to Chisora’s already rugged, come-forward style and I see him nicking it on points or a late stoppage.
Again a great fight for the public, boxing fans are the winners here."
Nick Webb
Heavyweight prospect
“I've been sparring with Dillian and he is looking good. He’ll probably know what to expect for this next fight having experienced 12-rounds with Chisora already. I’ve seen him doing a full 12-rounds with fresh guys in the gym and looking good doing so.”

"Although Chisora is coming into the fight off two stoppage wins, both this year, I still think the fight will go the same way as the first one.
Whyte is on the ascension whereas I think Chisora's best days are behind him but he's just fortunate to be on form right now. Whyte is only getting better, fitter and more experienced, but I think all Chisora can do is bring the best version of himself to the fight, which I don't think will be enough to win.
Whyte struggled with Chisora but also allowed himself to be dragged into his fight. Two years on from their first fight, I think Whyte will be a lot more sensible and utilise his skills a lot more rather than get involved in a dog fight again. He does wear his heart on his sleeve so I'm sure there will be many moments of this during the fight but he should be better a sticking to a game plan two years on, so he should win that much more convincing this time."

"Rematches tend to go in favour of the previous winner and in more comfortable fashion – but I do not believe that this will be the case for Whyte v Chisora II.
Although Whyte has claimed he is coming for war, I believe his intentions will be to utilise his jab and turn the fight into a boxing match, as he will have one eye on the April 13th Wembley date against Anthony Joshua.
Chisora will apply pressure from early on and will force Whyte to fight – and I only see one winner this time if they go toe to toe and that’s ‘Del boy’. I believe his style is all wrong for Whyte and that’s why he had so much success in the fight two years ago – coupled with the fact Whyte hasn’t fought an aggressive inside fighter since.
I think Chisora will inflict a late stoppage but Whyte will not make it easy for him whilst he’s still up and fighting."
