Former EBU EU and English featherweight title challenger Razaq Najib (10-3, 2 KOs) will take on unbeaten Nick Ball (9-0, 4 KOs) on the card which takes place at York Hall on October 4.
In the event of an injury to one of the featherweight fighters in the tournament, a coin toss will be conducted between Najib and Ball to determine which fighter will enter the competition as a replacement.
If no injuries occur, then Najib and Ball will clash with each other, as they look to earn bragging rights and pick up an impressive win to further their careers.
Nick Ball, 22 from Liverpool, is a former world champion Thai-boxer who turned to boxing aged 14 at Kirkby ABC where he triumphed in 23 from 25 bouts and won the Junior ABA's, CYP's and Tri-Nations.
Now at Everton Red Triangle with top trainer Paul Stevenson, the unbeaten prospect is ready for big fights and title shots next.
The Golden Contract featherweight tournament takes place live on Sky Sports in association with Matchroom Boxing, and live on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, and features some of the best featherweight fighters from around the world.
Ryan Walsh, Davey Oliver Joyce, Jazza Dickens, Tyrone McCullagh, Leigh Wood, Hairon Socarras, Carlos Ramos and Carlos Araujo will all be in action as they look to go all the way and be the last man standing.
Along with the featherweight tournament, there are also line-ups at super-lightweight and light-heavyweight, with the super-lightweight edition taking place at York Hall on November 22.
The winner of each tournament will land a two-year, five-fight deal with one of the world’s leading promoters that guarantees six-figure purses for every fight along with global exposure.
To add to the excitement, fighters will not know their opponents until fight week, at the start of which the highly anticipated draws will be made. All titles held will be on the line in each fight and knockout bonuses are also on offer.
