All the results reported round by round below:
Fight #1
Jack Kilgannon vs Meshack Mwankemwa
It was an entertaining start to the night as Oldham's 'Jacky Boy' moved up to 12-1 with a hard fought points won over six rounds against a two-weight Tanzanian champion. 27-year-old Kilgannon prevailed 58-56 and overcame a few testing moments during the super-middleweight contest against a very dangerous opponent.
Fight #2
Clark Smith vs Dale Arrowsmith
It was comfortable shutout points won over four rounds for 21 year old Smith fighting in front of his home city crowd for the first time in his career. Smith moves up to 3-0.
Fight #3
Dylan Cheema vs Jordan Ellison
There was a huge upset as BOXER Series winner Dylan Cheema was bettered by journeyman Jordan Ellison, referee Steve Gray scoring the contest 39-38 to the away corner. Despite his losing record, Ellison is no mug. He is a former Northern Area super-lightweight champion with a decent amateur pedigree and has sparred countless rounds with Lewis Ritson. Back to the drawing board for Cheema.
Fight #4
Viddal Riley vs Ross McGuigan
A clubbing overhand right from Viddal Riley to the temple of unbeaten Ross McGuigan finished the fight with around 30 seconds to go in the third round.
Fight #5
Bradley Rea vs Tyler Denny
Manchester's Rea took a few rounds to settle into the contest and was looking good by the fourth round, the Manchester man judging the range perfectly to utilise his longer frame.
Denny and Rea engage in a firefight in the fifth, which 31 year old Rowley Regis man, Denny, got the better off. The West Midlander is the smaller man but he has been able to get inside with body shots and is getting the better of the inside work here.
By the sixth round, Denny was really into his rhythm and was slipping shots and countering well. After landing a huge uppercut, Denny unleashed a barrage of punches on the klaxons that really showed off his confidence in this fight.
Time is running out for Rea, who needs to win the rest of the rounds to stand a chance of becoming English middleweight champion. The flow of Denny means Rea is unable to put his shots together, only throwing single jabs or one-twos. Rea was the aggressor in the seventh but the few counters that came back evened out the round that Brad was trying so hard to dominate.
During the eighth round, while Rea is trying to let his fists go, Denny manages to get a coupe of his own in. After a brief exchange, Denny got caught by a Rea right hand as he was pivoting away but the West Midlander rode it well.
Drama in the ninth as Rea lands a beautiful body shot – a left uppercut straight up the middle – that doubles Denny over midway through the round. Denny gets let off with a short time out and has a point deducted, but somehow he makes it through the rest of the round under lots of duress as Bradley really came in for the kill, targeting the vulnerable body of Tyler.
Despite Denny boxing better all the way through, those last two rounds could really sway the points tally back towards Rea. Although Denny should win, could Rea have just about managed a draw? The viewers' scorecards read as 77-74. But the judges had it as 95-94, 95-94, 97-92 to Tyler Denny.
Fight #6
Frazer Clarke vs Kamil Sokolowski
Finally Frazer gets a good opponent. 'The Eraser' has bowled everyone over so far, taking just nine minutes to knockout three foes.
But the bell sounds for round three, a territory unknown to Clarke so far in the pros. 31 year old Frazer seems to be respectful of his decent opposition and not looking to bow him away like he has done others.
Frazer targets the body in rounds three and four, but Sokolowski is able to sneak in short shots. A strong jab from clarke landed in the last minute of the fourth segment. Then there was an eyecatching uppercut without much venom, but he's beginning to land at will, which could see an exciting final two rounds for the fans.
There was an unfortunate head clash that cut Kamil at the start of the fifth, so a disappointing start to the stanza, but there was plenty of action to enjoy as Clarke came on strong landing some lovely jabs.
The last round was rather tepid as Sokolowski saw out the inevitable loss to the final bell, scored 60-54 to Clarke.
Sokolowski drew with his last opponent, Marcin Siwy, abroad in Poland even though the home fighter was 25-0. He has taken Martin Bakole, David Price, David Adeleye and Solomon Dacres the distance, and now he adds Clarke to that list, who said after the fight that those rounds were most needed and that he can learn a lot from that.
Good left hook from Smith in the sixth stanza just moments after his trainer and dad was told off in the corner by the referee.
Fight #7
Dalton Smith vs Kaisee Benjamin
Benjamin landing the first few jabs, trying to assert dominance and push Smith back. It was a bit of a cagey first round, it threatened to ignite a couple of times but never did.
By round three, it's still so tentative. Smith lands a good jab in the first minute and he seems to be gradually working out his opponent. Birmingham's Benjamin comes forward with intent in the final moments and lands a good right hand but to no effect.
Every round is so tight, it just needs someone to throw caution to the ring.
Benjamin landed a strong right hook to the chin in the opening moments of the eighth. The Brummie is having a good round, landing the better shots, particularly a good left hook to the body of Smith and another big right again. He springs into action a few times but Smith evades beautifully, pivoting laterally, never backing up in straight lines.
Benjamin must sense the fight has slipped away from him and up his aggression in the ninth. The round ends with Smith trapped on the ropes not throwing much back, bewilderingly.
Benjamin caught with his hands down by Smith in the first minute of the 10th then Smith catches him cleanly again and backs him to the ropes, where bravado takes over and Benjamin bechons him on. Benjamin had a good ninth round so Smith is spurred on in the 10th. Benjamin comes forward and eats up a straight right hand from Smith to end the round with.
Smith landed a nice jab then their heads came together in a clash in the 11th.
In the final round, Benjamin tried to force the fight but Smith tucked up and moved away to ride out the points win. Scores were 115-114, 117-112, 116-113 to Dalton Smith.
Despite the win, Dalton said he felt flat nd his ftather Grant praised Kaisee claiming that he could go on to world level because he's that good.
Main Event
Tasha Jonas vs Marie Dicaire
From start to finish, it was a very hard fight, but the greater quality and higher volume was with Natasha Jonas. Both landed big shots, but despite the contest being very 50-50, the determination, grit and workrate was with Jonas, so she should get the decision here, just.
Jonas wins by unanimous decision.
