MTK Global signs European welterweight title contender Ahmed El Mousaoui
MTK Global have announced the signing of highly-rated French welterweight star Ahmed El Mousaoui.
El Mousaoui (34-3-1, 8 KOs) has been in great form as of late, winning 10 straight fights since a controversial split decision loss to Ceferino Rodriguez for the European welterweight title back in 2016.
The 31-year-old also holds wins over former world champions Carlos Molina and Junior Witter during his career and has shared the ring with Jeff Horn, and he is ready to kick on and achieve big things alongside MTK Global.
El Mousaoui said: "I'm very happy to be part of MTK Global. They manage many very good fighters, and I'm proud to now be part of the list. To be part of a team like this is exciting and motivates me a lot, and this is a big new challenge for me.
"There are so many fighters I want to fight, fighters like Conor Benn, Mikey Garcia, Danny Garcia, Josesito Lopez and Yordenis Ugas. The better the opponent I have, the best you will see of me.
"In the next 12 months I want to get some belts and move to the top of the rankings. I'm very proud to have the France flag, but also the Moroccan flag too as that is my native country, and you should never forget where you came from."
MTK Global Promoter Lee Eaton said:"We're thrilled to welcome Ahmed El Mousaoui to the team. Boxing in France is flying at the moment, and he joins MTK Global's elite stable of French talent, which includes Karim Guerfi, Nordine Oubaali, Segolene Lefebvre and Elhem Meklahed.
"The welterweight division is as hot as it has ever been, and we're looking forward to watching Ahmed's journey unfold and seeing him become a key contender at 147lbs."
News on when El Mousaoui will have his first bout as an MTK Global fighter will be announced in due course.
