Rodríguez wins WBC Super Lightweight Silver title
Mexican Magali Rodríguez (20-6-2, 9KO) managed to defeat Victoire Piteau (9-2, 2KO) of France, to win the World Boxing Council Super Lightweight Silver title.
World title contender Magali seized the vacant title in Saint-Maur, France, showing her boxing quality and greater experience.
'Tormenta' Rodríguez, 29 from Apodaca, Nuevo León, beat 23-year-old Victoire, originally from Monte Carlo, Monaco, in a close competitive fight, in which Rodríguez’s experience was key to victory.
This is the second win for the Mexican in 2022. In April she defeated Elizabeth Chávez in Torreón, Coahuila.
