Matt Windle victorious over Neil McCubbin in Commonwealth eliminator

Birmingham's Matt Windle (6-3-1) scored his biggest win of his career as he outpointed Scotland's unbeaten light-flyweight prospect Neil McCubbin (5-1, 1KO) in a Commonwealth title eliminator on June 11 in Sheffield. 30-year-old West Midlander Windle floored the 22-year-old Scot in the fith round and went on to win a unanimous points decision, live on fightzone TV.
The chief supporting fight provided viewers with an unexpected upset as two-time English title contender toppled undefeated Ultimate Boxxer 3 winner Derrick Osaze.
