Ludumo Lamati defeats Haidari Mchanjo
South African Ludumo Lamati (19-1, 10 KOs) returned to action for the first time since June 19 last year, winning a unanimous decision over Tanzanian Haidari Mchanjo, at Booysens Boxing Club in Booysens, Johannesburg, in a super bantamweight bout.
Lamati, 30, used his height and reach advantages, boxing from a distance, to dominate Mchanjo (16-10-5, 6 KOs), aged 24.
The Judges scores were 97-92 and 100-90 twice.
With this triumph, Lamati won the “Ubuntu” belt, designed to represent the central African principle that promotes equality and dignity in actions, thoughts and deeds when interacting with others.
