Williams blasts Robinson away in one round
Liam Williams (23-2-1, 18 KOs), the WBO's mandatory challenger to the middleweight title, stayed busy by crushing Andrew Robinson (24-4-1, 7 KOs) in the first round.
Williams came out very aggressive from the first bell and he was connecting with good shots. There was a clash of heads that opened up a cut on the hairline of Williams and a bad cut above the left eye of Robinson.
After the head clash, Williams unloaded with a variety of shots to the head and body, which sent Robinson down for the full count.
On the undercard, Willy Hutchinson also scored a first round KO, which was his second in a row.
Nathan Gorman defeated Richard Lartey on points.
Mark Chamberlain won against Shaun Cooper on points.
There was a shock defeat for unbeaten Muheeb Fazeldin who was stopped in the second round by Luke Jones.
