The WBC congratulates the boxers who enter the August 2023 ratings
There are 41 new names added to this month's WBC ratings, but only one from the UK
The World Boxing Council took time to recognise and congratulate all the new boxers who entered the August 2023 ratings, based on their effort and positive results.
The WBC ratings have been published month by month since 1968, made up of the top 40 boxers from all divisions.
The ratings committee is composed of a director, an assistant director, an executive secretary and 22 active expert members from several places of the world.
This committee is dedicated to compiling the results of fights and important information to carry out an analysis of the fighters’ movements and define their position in the WBC’s lists.
Brit boxer, Liam Dillon, 27 from Chingford, is just one of many to enter into the WBC top 40 this month, but the only representative from the UK. His epic win over Qais Ashfaq on July 15 in Newcastle secured the prestigious British title for the super featherweight, which has completed the set for the Briton, who now has Southern Area, English and British belts.
