Larry Ekundayo retained his IBF European title with a points win over Louis Greene
Londoner Larry Ekundayo (15-1-KO3) successfully defended his IBF European crown against unbeaten challenger Louis Greene (9-1-KO5) at York Hall on December 14.
Nigerian-born ‘The Natural’ won comprehensively with ringside scores of 100-89, 98-91, and 99-90.
The 36-year-old victor posted the following message on social media after the contest, "GRATITUDE IS MY ATTITUDE! Gracious in defeat, 'The Medway Mauler' said on Facebook post-fight, "Everyone who watched I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support it wasn't my night, I'll be back, all the best to Larry, what a gent with a real heartwarming story behind his career, thanks again for all the support now to rest with my wife and children love you all."
Australian-based Irishman Darragh Foley (15-3-1) was outpointed over 10 championship rounds by unbeaten Akeem Ennis Brown (12-0), 23 from Gloucester, who added the vacant IBF European super-lightweight belt to his English and WBC Youth World titles.
