Kyle Haywood wins Midlands Area super-welterweight title
Leicester's Kyle Haywood (9-1, 1KO) edged Derby's Alex Fearon (9-3) by just a single point at 96-95 to land the Midlands Area super-welterweight title on his second attempt.
It was his last ight, back in March 2019, when he suffered his only career loss to CJ Challenger and missed out on the Midlands Area strap, but he was delighted to win it in his next fight back.
Trainer Carl Greaves said after the show, "8 out of 8 last night for CGP [Carl Greaves Promotions] and a Midlands Area super-welterweight champion in Kyle Haywood to go with an English super-flyweight champion in Craig Derbyshire on Friday night, it's been a great weekend thanks to everyone involved..onwards and upwards!"
