KSI achieves incredible feat with two stoppages in one night
KSI fought rapper Swarmz and professional boxer Luis Pineda last night as the YouTube star made his return to the ring after more than 1,000 days
YouTuber / rapper / entrepreneur / professional boxer KSI won two fights in one night as he stopped Swarmz in the first round and then Mexican Luis Pineda in three at The O2 in London on Saturday, August 27.
The Londoner known as KSI, birth name Olajide Olatunji, was returning to the ring almost three years after his last outing, a points win over Logan Paul in their professional rematch in Los Angeles. He had been due to fight Alex Wassabi, who beat KSI's brother Deji earlier this year, but the American pulled out through injury two weeks ago.
He was replaced by two opponents after a public outcry about the quality of Swarmz, who had never laced up a pair of gloves prior to taking the call. And KSI was able to stop both opponents to cap off a successful night of influencer boxing which a first win in four attempts for KSI's brother Deji, a stunning KO from Salt Pappi and a boxing clinic from Deen The Great.
Although Pineda has been a professional boxer for over five years, the Sonora super-welterweight had only managed to win two narrow points victories (both scored at 39-37) from seven bouts, and had been stopped four times in his five defeats.
Post-fight, KSI called out many more names for his next fight, "Slim [the Hitman] looks good, I want a piece of that; Austin [McBroom] vs Gib [AnEsonGib], I want the winner of that. Andrew Tate, I want a piece of that! Tommy fury, I want a piece of that! I warmed up and I'm ready, I'm excited."
However, a fight with fellow YouTuber turned pro boxer, Jake Paul, isn't on his immediate list, he confessed, "There's so many people I have to get through before I get to Jake.
"Jake is definitely the main goal, but soon come, soon come."
Jake Paul responded with a tweet, "Smart man KSI is, not calling me out. He knows the truth."
In response to KSI calling out his name, Jake Paul's bitter rival, Tommy Fury, tweeted, "You know where to find me KSI." An earlier tweet was designed to ridicule the YouTuber, asking, "What have I just seen."
Tyson's half-brother Tommy wasn't allowed into America for his scheduled bout with Paul due to his association with MTK Global and Daniel Kinahan. Paul offered the former Love Island star $500k to fight him in the UK, to which Tommy laughed that he wouldn't get out of bed for that amount. Presently, that grudge match is now dead and buried.
