Jordan Laruccia returns on June 16
September 1st will be the return of the iconic Thunderdome boxing series, based out of Metro City in Perth, Western Australia.
Headlining the bill will highly touted prospect Jordan Laruccia (5-0, 3KO) who will look to go 6-0 as he challenges Fano Kori (8-5) for the Australian National Boxing Federation's Australasian Super Welterweight Challenge over eight rounds. The Event will be shown live on FiteTV.
Laruccia last hit out last a mere 23 seconds over Indonesian Jack Dolo, rather poetic for somename named “Jordan”.
Fano Kori has been in the ring with all the top challengers in Australia, such as Mateo Tapia, Wes Capper, Jesse White, Koen Mazouider, Sherwyn Watkins to name a few.
The unbeaten Italian-Australian prospect Jordan hasn’t had an amateur career and has gone straight through the pro ranks and is making some noise after racking up five wins from as many starts.
The rising super-welterweight star trained at Juventus in Italy as a goalkeeper before heading back to Australia to pursue a career in pugilism.Laruccia discussed the forthcoming fight: “I love this fight, I just want to fight the best, I have full respect to Fano, he had a very decorated amateur background and has had 14 professional fights, so he is well experienced. It’s the step-up fight I need at this point in my career.
“I need these opportunities and I will always rise to the occasion, I have the best team behind me, my trainer Big Rig (Dayle Phillips), Tony Tolj – he's literally the Mr Boxing of Australia, these people bend of backwards to give us the opportunities in our career. I train like an animal so I’m always ready for anything.
