"We're back!"
'The Predator' meets 'The Lion' on September 11
Promoter Steve Goodwin announced on social media on July 26: "Finally after what will be 18 months we are pleased to announce the following show and a cracker of a main event. The "Predator" Jumaane Camero takes on Connor "The Lion" Vian for the Southern Area Super Lightweight Title back at the home of British Boxing York Hall."
26-year-old 'Predator' Jumanne Camero (10-7, 3KOs) won the Southern Area lightweight title in his sixth fight back in 2017. He conceded the strap to Jeff Ofori in his ninth contest, who then lost the belt to Archie Sharp in his first defence. Around that time, Camero lost five from six, but in 2019 he won three fights in a row before dropping a decision over six-rounds to highly-rated unbeaten prospect Paddy 'The Real Deal' Donovan.
The Norfolk Lion, Connor Vian (12-2-1, 1KO), is currently 28-years-old and his upcoming 16th contest will be his first title challenge. He has won his last two contests, after suffering defeat to undefeated Curtis Felix Jr in an English title eliminator in 2019. Vian hasn't yet managed to scalp a winning fighter, except for Kent journeyman Ricky Rose when he was 3-2.
Camero is an established professional with a significant skillset and will be the favourite to win this fantastic contest.
