Undercard Highlights
Undefeated Lerrone 'Sniper the Boss' Richards (15-0, 3KOs) gets his desired world title shot at IBO World super-middleweight champion Carlos Gongora (20-0, 15KOs) in an intruiging battle of two unbeaten southpaws. Ecuador's Gongora is heavy-handed, confident and dangerous, whereas 29-year-old Richards is a slick operator, elusive and skillful.
Before Gongora's reign, which began exactly a year ago to the day of this second title defence (December 18, 2020), the belt was in the hands of Brits since 2017 – Chris Eubank Jr. twice and George Groves. Brian Magee and Robin Reid are former titleholders too. Lerrone Richards has a great chance of adding his name to this modern illustrious list.

Background
In their first fight, six months ago, Joseph Parker recovered from a disastrious start, when he was knocked down in the opening 10 seconds to beat Derek Chisora on a split decision – 115-113 111-116 115-113 Full fight report
The Briton floored the New Zealander with an overhand right to the temple seconds after the first bell rang at the Manchester Arena, but the former world champion turned the tide as Chisora tired.
29-year-old Parker is aiming to challenge for world titles again, but 'Del-Boy' aims to stop him this time after being very vocal about his distrust for the ringside judges. 'WAR' Chisora believes he won the first fight and won't be relying on the judges in this return rivalry. Parker, who trains with Andy Lee, has said he will be far more aggressive and spiteful this time around, also looking to end matters early.
Ladies and gentleman, we have a fight!
Quotes
Chisora: “You’re going to see so many changes, we’re going for a stoppage to be honest with you. I know most people wonder why I’ve been talking about the refs, it’s just one of those things. We know exactly what Joseph’s going to try to do. He’s going to try and come in the later rounds and push his power and speed.I know for a fact come 18 December; we are going to war. Joseph Parker doesn’t scare me; he hasn’t got anything that I’m scared of. He hasn’t power punches, I don’t know how they gave him the last fight to be honest with you, I’m just disappointed they gave it to him.”
Parker: “Myself and the team have positioned ourselves to be ready to fight for world titles. When the time comes when the belts are freed up, I’ll be ready to fight for them and I’ll be ready to take them with both hands. That’s my goal, to become two-time World Champion. Derek is one tough guy, he comes forward and puts on the pressure, like he said 'bite the gumshield and throw the kitchen sink', that’s exactly what he did and what he’s going to do for the next fight. I feel like this fight is going to different, I’ve had a lot more time to work on things that Andy has suggested I work on and now that I’m here with him in camp my confidence is growing every day seeing the improvements.I feel like I’ll finish this fight within the distance, I’ve got a good feeling.”
Predictions
Tim Rickson, BBN Editor: “I expect it to go the much the same way as their first fight, with Chisora gatting an early headstart against a more switched-on, careful Parker, who should outbox Chisora to win on points again. Last fight, Parker had only just teamed up with Andy Lee, as his coach, and Johnny Ward, so this time I'm expecting improvements and to see a wiser, more intelligent, better version of him. He's likely to have been given the blueprint from his friend Tyson Fury also. That said, both boxers have promised it won't go the distance, so it could end in a knockout, which could honestly go either way. You always know what to expect from Chisora, who has earned his nickname because he consistently brings the 'WAR'. At the age of 37 and after 44 bouts, how much can he really improve or change, fight upon fight? I believe he is enjoying making big money in the twilight of his career, whilst he still loves to fight, but I don't believe there is a goal to win more titles or do anything more than just headline shows and cash cheques.”
