New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker odds-on at 8/15 to defeat Derek Chisora
Boxing punters are backing New Zealander Joseph Parker to defeat Briton Derek Chisora in their heavyweight bout on Saturday, with the Kiwi now 8/15 with bet365 bonus to win the fight.
The two heavyweights will face off in Manchester and the traders at Sporting Index expect a tall task for ‘War Chisora’, who is 29/20 to claim victory.
Parker, who has been training under Andy Lee following a recommendation from Tyson Fury, is 9/4 to secure a knockout victory, while he’s 17/10 to win on points.
Chisora is a bigger price at 4/1 to win on points and 10/3 to be triumphant with a knockout blow on Parker. The draw is 20/1 with Sporting Index.
The boxing experts at the betting firm also offer 4/5 that the fight goes the distance, while it’s 10/11 that it won’t.
Neville Burdock, Head Trader at Sporting Index, said: “Dereck Chisora versus Joseph Parker is a huge bout this weekend as both aim to fight their way back into heavyweight title contention. The punters think Parker will edge it, and have been happy to get stuck in at just 8/15.
“There’s a fair bit of interest in Parker to win on points too at 17/10, while Chisora going the distance and prevailing on the judges’ scorecards is least fancied at 4/1.”
