Jordan Flynn scores first stoppage win
26-year-old Jordan Flynn (5-0, 1KO) secured his first stoppage victory as a pro on April 30 at Bracknell Leisure Centre on a Neilson Boxing show.
Flynn stopped Radoi in round three of six. The undefeated lightweight described the fight as he saw it first-hand, "The fight went well, the guy has never been stopped in 11 fights and comes from a K1 background, so was a tough, Romanian guy. He went the distance last week on the Fury undercard."
The Swindon-based super-feather, Radoi, who has only been stopped once before, took top prospect Royston Barney-Smith the full four rounds at Wembley last weekend on the biggest show of the year so far.
Flynn continued to review his latest win, "I got a cut under my left eye from a headclash because he kept coming in with his head, but I broke him down and upped the gears in round three and stopped him."
He added, "This fight was dedicated to my amateur boxing coach, Mel Corrigan, who sadly passed away a few weeks ago.
"He was a great man that started me off in my boxing career at Berinsfield boxing gym in Oxford, he always wanted the best for me so I want to repay him by being successful and making it to the top."
Trained by Kevin Mitchell, Jordan Flynn now looks forward to fighting for a third time this year on July 16 at the Detling Showground in Maidstone, where he faces Russian opponent, Rustem Fatkhullin (8-30-, 3KOs) over six-rounds at lightweight.
BBN would like to express their deepest condolences to Mel Corrigan's family and friends during this difficult time.
