KSI vs Tommy Fury press conference takes a savage turn
Pandemonium at OVO Arena Wembley press conference as tables and chairs sent flying in wild scenes
In a bizarre outburst, Tommy's father, 'Big' John Fury, was angrily shouting at KSI and turning to the crowd to do the same, until he kicked over the tables in front of him in a violent frenzy, completely destroying the stage setup for the press conference between KSI and Tommy Fury, and Logan Paul and Dillon Danis.
The father of WBC World heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, was repeatedly shouting expletives such as, "F*ck all this sh*t" and "talking all this bullsh*t".
Logan Paul called Fury a b*tch then launched something in their direction, causing more violence.
The elder Fury, a former pro himself in the 80s and 90s, was on stage alongside his youngest son of six as the promotion forTommy's October 14 bout with KSI got underway, with the event's double headliners Logan Paul and Dillon Danis also in attendance.
There were a number of heated exchanges sent back and forth between the sides, but as Danis and Paul continued their intense war of words, the Irish bare-knuckle fighter decided to take matters into his own hands and bring the event to a shuddering halt. He first rose up from the table swearing at KSI before re-hashing his standard "fighting man" line and eventually kicking up and throwing the tables off stage causing complete chaos.
Love island star Tommy Fury expected there to be mayhem as he admitted his dad had been drinking red wine in the hotel before the presser.
Speaking after the event, KSI told Mirror Fighting that he felt the outburst was "psycho" and that John Fury "brought the party", before Logan Paul joked that "John Fury is a maniac," he laughed. "He just brought it, I didn't see that coming, all the tables, he's amazing."
KSI then added "He decided to take my one, his one, yours as well, mate. Unbelievable!"
The Apology
The following morning, on August 23, after everything had calmed down somewhat, John Fury took to social media to make a heartfelt apology.
"Good morning people, just want to make a quick apology for my inappropriate language yesterday, you know, it's unacceptable, I accept that.
"When emotions run high, we get involved, it was pandemonium, but let me sincerely apologise for my outburst of language. I wasn't alone doing it, but I want to come out and apologise because I feel it's appropriate to make that apology to the people who came to that press conference and the viewing audiences. And I'll try and improve. And if I've offended anyone, I'm deeply sorry."
Why is John Fury not allowed in America?
