JE Boxing is the only professional boxing platform in Kent, owned by ‘The Moroccan Machine’ – Joe Elfidh.
As a fighter, Joe was a two-weight Central Area title contender, defeated a future England champion, and shared the ring with British, Commonwealth and World champions.
As a promoter, he is single-handedly bringing big-time boxing back to The Garden of England and his hometown of Worksop.

Georgie Wright
My 22-year-old charge from Essex took a fight at a week’s notice and beat an undefeated kid away from home.
Georgie Wright (3-1) beat Jamie Carley (2-1) at the Tolhurst Centre in Surrey last weekend 39-38 on points.
He’s definitely one to watch, his only loss came from a cut that halted his last fight in September in the second round.
In the first round of this fight, Georgie picked him off and did the same for the second round as well.
In the third, the kid kept coming in strong knowing that he was two rounds behind so really put it on him hard.
Going into the last round, Carley fought hard to salvage a draw but so did Georgie, who kept catching him all the time with right hands.
Georgie wasn’t 100 per cent fit because of the late notice but just kept working and working and working. It was a great win for Georgie away from home!
He comes from an unlicensed background – the IBA in Essex – but also had a few amateur bouts, too.
He was the last ever person to beat Boy Jones, who beat my Sidcup super-bantamweight Martin Hillman last month to win the Southern Area featherweight title.
Wright and Jones fought in the IBA Essex unlicensed scene in a six or eight-rounder and Georgie was the last person get a win over him.
He will be looking for another big fight next, we are in talks with another unbeaten fighter at the moment, so he’s happy to go out on the road again.
Swampy’s Revenge
The 4th February show in Sheerness is all good and ready to go, the tickets are out and the boys are selling them now.
Despite Sheppey’s long association with boxing, the area has not yet played host to a professional boxing show, until now.
The newly-built Oasis Academy is the venue chosen to stage the Island’s first ever pro boxing event.
A trio of talented fighters from the thriving Invicta Gym in Sheerness are topping the bill – unbeaten heavyweight Dave Jones; undefeated middleweight prospect Oli Edwards; and Prizefighter semi-finalist Tom Dallas.
Newest signing
There’s a real buzz around my latest signing Luke Gibbo from Bexleyheath in Kent.
He’s a former England International who got on the Team GB Development squad. He boxed in over 80 amateur fights and holds wins in the amateurs over many current professional boxers now like Ricky Boylan – a Southern Area titlist.
I watched him train last Sunday and his pedigree shows. He spars everybody, mostly with Oli Edwards, and he’s a tough kid, very skilful and experienced.
He’ll be out four times next year so he’ll be busy but without rushing things.
The shows in Kent are thriving now, they’re a big success and it shows because I am putting on two in the same month!
Everyone is excited by Luke and so am I. He is good to work with, a nice lad, approachable and humble.
Really looking forward to his journey starting at Mote Park in Maidstone on February 25th.
