JE Boxing is the only professional boxing platform in Kent, owned by Joe ‘The Moroccan Machine’ Elfidh.

As a promoter, he is single-handedly bringing big-time boxing back to The Garden of England and his hometown of Worksop.
Welcome to his weekly column – exclusive to BBN.
Charlie Shane is back!
Charlie missed the last show in Maidstone in February due to a bereavement, but now he’s back!
Back with a vengeance, he’s training hard and he really wants it. He’s going to be back out on the next Maidstone show in May.
He’s an aggressive southpaw which can be a nightmare for other boxers to deal with.
He is strong middlewieght that's always on the front foot looking to hurt his opponent, he has a good drive and desire to win.
He started boxing young and had his first fight at 12, which he won. He went on to have 24 amateur fights, winning most of them, and a successful stint in the unlicensed / white collar scene as well.
He’s got a good pedigree behind him which makes a lot of difference and he has always trained like a professional even in the amateurs.
I think I can fast-track him because he lives the life, he’s easy to work with and says it how it is. He’s got a massive following and few sponsors on board helping him out.
He’s only 3-0 but he’s always in shape and staying active. Ideally, he’ll have one more warm up fight, then I’ll stick him in a six-rounder to see how he fares, and then, all being well, I’ll get him in a Challenge belt fight.
Watch this space because he’s a great kid and he’s going places!
The phone’s been ringing…
I’ve had a few phone calls for big fights for Martin Hillman at super-featherweight but he’s a featherweight or super-bantam, even.
We took a risk before against Boy Jones Jr at 130lbs and, although he did well, we know that he’s not a super-featherweight.
As soon as we get the right option at his natural fight weight then we’ll seriously consider it but we are not fighting at 130lbs again.
Luke Gibbo is back in training already after only fighting in February. He’s getting ready for the Maidstone show in May.
He’ll be fast-tracked because he’s an International fighter with a good pedigree behind him. He had an extraordinary amateur career and only gave up being on the Team GB Development squad to go out and earn some money.
Heavyweight Dave Jones is now back in training after suffering from broken ribs in his last training camp.
He’s back in light training because he’s still not 100% but he’s getting there. Hopefully, he’ll be ready for May also.
Haye v Bellew
So the headlines were dominated by this fight last weekend. Like the majority, I always thought that Haye would blow him out of there within the first three rounds, but if it went the distance then I thought Bellew would win.
I thought that Haye was ahead before the injury happened in the sixth round but he didn’t look good.
I personally think he will get back on his own promotion shows like he put on at the O2 Arena himself and get a few wins under his belt to prove everyone wrong.
He’s a name, so boxers want to fight him for the exposure and hype it brings. He will always be able to get a fight because of that.
There's always a space on my shows if he ever wants to get on one!
He seems nice face-to-face despite all the bravado you see on show, so I wish him all the best.
His trainer Shane McGuigan is a nice kid, I used to spar with him when he was a top class amateur.
In the fight on YouTube with me and Joe Hughes, you can hear Barry McGuigan say on camera that I spar with his son regularly and that, “he’s strong and a real handful!”
He’s definitely a great trainer, the proof is in the pudding when you just look at Carl Frampton. Haye chose him to train him up so that speaks volumes in itself.
