9-0 light-heavyweight Joe Fournier wants YouTuber Jake Paul next
Joe Fournier says he wants to face Jake Paul next after he picked up an impressive second round knockout win over Reykon on Saturday.
The two men were competing at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on Saturday, on the undercard of Paul’s fight with Ben Askren.
It didn’t take Fournier long to make a big impact, dropping Reykon twice in the opening two rounds. That proved to be too much for the Colombian reggae artist, who was pulled out at the end of the second round to hand Fournier the win.
In the main event, Paul picked up a first round TKO win over Askren, and Fournier says he would love to be the next man to face the YouTuber.
Fournier said: “It just kind of came out naturally. I wanted four or five rounds to get my feet back under me honestly. Everyone knows, I’d love Jake Paul next.
“I love what Triller are doing and I want to be part of every Fight Club, so thank you to Triller, I appreciate it.”
Londoner Fournier has fought in 10 contests, winning all by knockout, but his fifth victory was declared a No Contest after failing a drug test and subsequently being banned by the NADO. He has only competed once in the UK, on the undercard of David Haye vs Arnold Gjergjaj at The O2 Arena in 2016, with pal Jose Mourinho watching on from ringside. The majority of his fights have been held in the Dominican Republic.
38 from Hammersmith, Fournier was born into wealth and was chaffeur driven to school each day. He studied human biology and sports science at St Mary's University and now lives in Notting Hill but spends half his in Miami.
A former basketball player, Joe set up his own gym and began building a list of celebrity clients. He sold that business to an FTSE 100 compay and then moved into the nightclub indusrty.
