Nakhmitdinov KOs Hatley
The fighter from Uzbekistan based in Brooklyn, Jamshidbek Najmitdinov (19-2, 14 KOs), won the USNBC welterweight belt affiliated to the World Boxing Council, defeating the American Charles Hatley (30-3-1, 21 KOs), by knockout in the second round, on a card held at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas.
Jamshidbek’s victory was a surprise. He entered the ring throwing left-handed bombs, but the veteran Hatley adapted and countered with accurate combinations. After Hatley tasted Najmitdinov’s power, he seemed ready to fight and impose his style. In the second round, Hatley came out more aggressive and landed a nice power combination. But soon after, Najmitdinov hurt Hatley with a powerful left hand that sent him to the canvas.
Hatley did everything in his power to get back on his feet, but Referee Ruben Perez saw that Hatley was in bad shape and decided to stop the fight.
