Quotes
Crocker said:"I'm excited to be back, especially because it's headlining my first show too. I've been busting for a fight for a while, so to be competing for a WBO European title is a big step up.
"With everything that's going on in the world it's truly great to be part of a show, so fair play to MTK Global for getting these class events together throughout August and September.
"Louis Greene is a solid opponent and has fought at a higher level than me and is ranked higher than me, so I'm expecting my toughest fight to date. I've always wanted to fight for a title, and you can definitely guarantee that there will be fireworks on August 26th."
Greene said:"Crocker's team will be extremely confident and they'll see me as the underdog, but even when I fought the likes of Freddy Kiwitt, Lee Gillespie and Lukasz Wierzbicki in Poland, I was expected to come unstuck in those fights and I won.
"This isn't anything new to me and I'm really excited to be back. To be headlining a show for such a big title is great, and there are a lot of expectations on this fight.
"I was really pleased with how things went in 2019, I won all three of my fights, and it was against a high calibre of fighters, especially the win in Poland. I was over the moon and now it's onto this fight, so everything is moving really well.
"A win here means a lot, I've got to this point by taking big risks against hard opposition, so this is a massive opportunity."
Predictions
BBN Editor, Tim Rickson: “Lewis and Louis both have identical KO ratios so are as dangerous as each other and can both inflict damage. Crocker is the slight favourite at the bookies and the odds for a draw are quite low, so it’s an intriguing contest, and one which many will favour Crocker to edge, but predicting who wins and how is an almost impossible task. Personally, I'm edging towards Crocker to win on points, but it’s best just to sit back, relax, an enjoy this one! Bombs away!”
Background
The pair do battle live on YouTube channel iFL TV, ironically on the same day in history that YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul battled to a draw in Manchester Arena in 2018, with over 2million live viewers tuning in to watch.
Unfortunately, this fight won’t have quite so many spectators, but it will be far better viewing! If the pair meet in the middle and refuse to take backward steps, then it will be a fantastic spectacle and perhaps unlikely to go the distance, as there will be some big bombs detonated.
‘The Croc’ exploded onto the scene early in 2017 and stopped all six of his opponents in his first 15 months as a pro, two of those victims were fighters with winning records. 23-years-old from Belfast, Crocker is a seven-time national amateur champion that won an astonishing 90 from 97 fights.
Louis Greene, 28 from Kent, is a former Southern Area welterweight champion, who comes into the fight off the back of three straight wins following his December 2018 defeat to IBF European welterweight champion Larry Ekundayo (16-1).
