Yuliahn Luna vs Dina Thorslund fight details
Mexican star and undefeated Dane will clash to decide who is the “Queen of the Bantamweights”
Mexican Star Yuliahn “Cobrita” Luna (25-3-1, 4KO) will fight a bantamweight title unification war with undefeated WBO champion Dina Thorslund (19-0, 8KO) in Denmark this weekend.
WBC bantamweight titlist Yuliahn, 29 from Duranga, Mexico, has won world titles in two different weight categories so far – bantamweight and super bantamweight – accumulating 25 victories, 3 defeats and 1 draw in her 12-year-long pro career.
Luna Ávila plans to consolidate and consecrate her dominance in the 118-pound division, boldly stating: “I am the best in the world, and I will prove it with facts. I will have a chance to demonstrate it, against an undefeated fighter and to be the queen of the bantamweights.”
Also 29, Denmark's Thorslund stopped Debora Anahi Lopez in her last outing in February and is yet to taste defeat over 19 outings. The Copenhagen combatant will have a size, reach and home advantage against the travelling visitor, who has four years and 10 fights more experience under her belt.

Predictions
Tim RicksonBBN Editor: “Even though Dina already has a size and reach advantage and the confidence that comes with being an undefeated champion, I actually think it's the home advantage that could be the key factor in this fight – every punch that lands will be cheered and registered. She fights nice and loose with an aggressive attitude, always trying to land that powerful left hook. She can be guilty of leaving her head on the firing line when punching, but that means Luna will have to punch when being punched to take advantage of that, which is risky.
“Despite a lowly four KOs from 29 bouts, Luna has stopped two of her last seven foes and scored a knockdown in her last bout with a single shot – a thudding left hook to the head. So her power cannot be underestimated. “Cobrita” can sometimes take too long to throw, allowing her opponents to come on, but she is usually quite busy and has a nice flow to her style as a very accomplished all-round fighter. I think her best chance of winning will be on points, to out-score Thorslund, but I'm going to back Dina the Great Dane to win on points, due to landing the heavier blows during the close contest.”
