Conway and Mansouri to clash in April

The highly-rated Kieron Conway and former English champion Navid Mansouri will meet at Doncaster Dome on April 24.

Northampton's ‘Too Class’ Conway (14-1-1, 3 KOs) and 'Nav' Mansouri (20-3-2, 6 KOs) meet on a Matchroom Boxing bill broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and on DAZN in the US.

Both are full of belief they can make a big statement on a big platform as they prepare to try and steal the show from Tasha Jonas’ world title shot at Terri Harper.

With each fighter having numbers in their win, loss and draw columns, it's a real pick 'em fight for the fans. Betting odds are favouring the younger, fresher Conway, who's only loss came in an Ultimate Boxxer semi-final on a split decision. You can check these odds with the most trusted gambling resources and betting sites.

23-year-old Conway said: “I met Mansouri a few years ago before I turned professional and we got a few rounds in together. He seems a nice lad.

“He makes plenty of mistakes and those are going to suit me nicely. I’ve already watched lots of video of him and I’ll continue to study him and cover all areas.

“I’m slowly building my profile on Sky Sports and my career is on track. It’s going in the right direction. I’m in no rush as I have things to work on and need to develop a bit more as a man and as a fighter but I’m heading the right way.”

30-year-old Mansouri said: “Conway has had some great fights. He’s shown his skillsets but I’m excited to fight him – he’s suitable for me and styles make fights. He did really well against Ted Cheeseman but him against me is a perfect match-up. I plan to move on to the next stage.

“I will sit down and start watching Kieron soon. I’ve seen a bit of him in the past and done a little bit in sparring. I know his strengths and weaknesses but we’ll see all that kind of stuff on the night.”

Also starring on the bill is the undefeated Chantelle Cameron, who is now mandatory world title challenger in both the lightweight and super-lightweight divisions.
